Welcome to Ad Astra ALC!
Ad Astra ALC is a creative hangout and enrichment space for homeschoolers ages 10–18 where kids have real freedom. This isn’t school, and it’s not about worksheets or being told what to do all day. We’re a small, creative, community-based enrichment center designed to nurture passions and celebrate individuality.
Here, kids help create the schedule.
At the morning meeting, the group decides what’s happening using the Offering Board. That might mean starting a new game, making art, painting, building something, having a deep conversation, playing outside, cooking, or jumping into a group project.
Lunch is at 12:00, but kids can snack whenever they feel hungry.
There’s no set curriculum. Ad Astra is about building curiosity, confidence, and allowing kids to have the freedom to figure out who they are and what they enjoy. We build real community! Through discussions, group decisions, and working through conflicts together, kids build social skills, confidence, and independence - without pressure or judgment.
We wrap up each day with a closing meeting to reflect, connect, and plan ahead. We clean up together and then play a game!
We also go on field trips and explore cool places together!
